HOLLYWOOD'S TOP MOVIE COACH
At the tender age of
25, Bob competed with Hollywood's top acting coaches and was chosen
by Lucille Ball to head her renowned talent program at Paramount
Pictures.
At Paramount he began
his career as a Film Coach, working with such stars as Liza Minnelli
in Alan Pakula's "Sterile Cuckoo", for which she was nominated
for an Academy Award, and Robert Forester in Haskell Wexler's classic,
"Medium Cool."
With McAndrew's expertise
ever in demand, Twentieth Century Fox recruited him to head their
talent school. There he coached young contract players including,
Tom Selleck and Sam Elliot.
At Columbia, Ray Stark
was so moved by Bob's work that he arranged for Bob to make a documentary
about John Huston's memorable, "Fat City."
